Judith after Jean Jacques Henner

Best surprise of Paris: Jean-Jaques Henner!

In Autumn 2022 I was at Paris exhibiting my Amedeo Modigliani painting at the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris. I used the opportunity to visit tons of museums, galleries and other cultural highlights. Best suprise for me was the rich collection of the Museé national Jean-Jaques Henner.

Jean Jacques Henner (1829-1905) was an 19th century painter, not so well known these days. Lots of inspiration and ideas! First job was to make a portrait study of his Judith, to discover and learn from his technique. More to follow in Henner's style!
