Italian award for artist André Romijn

ART NOW , an Palermo based Italian Art magazine, establishes the ‘Artista dell’Anno – Creatività, Palermo Artexpo 2020’ (Artist of the Year Award – Creativity, Palermo Artexpo). An award that will be dedicated every year to illustrious personalities from the world of art and culture, who thanks to their works have contributed, in the year 2020, to enrich the national artistic heritage.

A great artistic event designed to offer the artist admitted to the project a complete disclosure of his work.

The prestigious award consists of a Plexiglas plaque (15 × 21 cm) personalized with the artists name with the reproduction of the selected work, together with the publication of a work on a page of the bimonthly art and culture magazine ART NOW (January / February 2021).

On February 26, all the works selected for this Award, has been video exhibited in the premises of the Effetto Arte Gallery in Palermo.

One of the artist who was selected for this Italian award is André Romijn, with his painting Elvira. André is from the Netherlands, but lives and works in Tuscany, Italy.

 

His artistic focus is the female portrait. “I love creating aesthetic art. Beautiful art, which is a joy to look at, to create a feeling of happiness. That is what female portraiture does for me and by sharing my works, I do hope it will give the same pleasure to the viewer.”
